Nothing stirs the soul like the view of a pristine coastal river. The tide ebbs and flows. The mind drifts away to the promise of new horizons. We think you’ll agree it is a vision fully realised, a place truly above the rest, an inspired coastal community being created at Kahawai Point by KPDL. Live under an hour from the heart of Auckland’s CBD and stay connected in a place to unwind.

Past, present, future – perfect harmony

Motivated by a treasured past and unbounded natural beauty, Kahawai Point, south of Auckland, promises the very best in coastal riverside residential living.

This place was inspired by one man’s vision – Ngati Te Ata’s, Tahuna Minhinnick. He saw Kahawai Point as a very special place. One where he could create a unique community.

A place that respects both the sites past, the existing community, the links to the local iwi and incorporates the aspirations of Ngati Te Ata and the
Te Aranga design principles.

Sadly, Tahuna did not live to see his vision realised. The challenge, dedication, perseverance of many to progress his vision has not faltered. That is to create more than a coastal village, it is to create a sustainable community – a legacy, a place above the rest.

KPDL’s masterplan emphasises space as a key to preserving the stunning scenery. With 65ha of classic coastal landscape the sheltered coves of the beautiful Taihiki River will be enjoyed through a 5km shoreline walk. The walk blends with stands of native 100 year old Pohutukawa trees and a new neighbourhood park.

The masterplan for Kahawai Point sensitively embraces around 800 coastal homes, ranging from one to two storey houses and villas with section sizes from 300sqm to 2,200sqm allowing for a range of lifestyle properties. The first 2 stages have been completed with 231 sections and a beautiful park at Pohutukawa Point.

Here, stunning contemporary architecture will blend perfectly with the astounding natural coastal landscape. Dedicated mature vegetated land fingers jut out into the Taihiki River to support healthy waters flowing into local tributaries and ultimately Manukau Harbour.

Find your own slice of coastal land in the picturesque region of Franklin, conveniently located in Glenbrook, 15 minutes from Waiuku and 20 minutes from Pukekohe. Check out our interactive map to see which coastal sections are still available and make that coastal lifestyle dream a reality!
